NEW BERLIN, Wis. — Batzner Pest Management has been named one of the "Best Places to Work" in Southeastern Wisconsin by Milwaukee Magazine. Results of the survey will be published in the magazine’s April 2008 issue.
“We are extremely honored to receive this award,” said Jerry Batzner, president. “Our team at Batzner works hard every day to deliver superior service and it is outstanding to be recognized for our accomplishments. I know we all try our best every day to be the best in the pest management industry and the marketplace. We truly appreciate this recognition.”
Batzner Pest Management is one of just nine small organizations (100 or fewer employees) to be honored. From an initial field of 183 companies, 33 Southeastern Wisconsin firms earned the title of "Best Places to Work" within the categories of large (500 or more employees), medium (101 to 499 employees) and small (100 or fewer employees) in a study by Milwaukee Magazine and MRA-The Management Association.
To be named to the final lists, companies in the seven-county metro area were invited to complete detailed online surveys covering nine specific areas: pay; benefits; other perks; turnover; work/life balance; training and employee development; diversity; community involvement; and employee voice. Each firm was then scored according to their responses. Companies also were evaluated according to feedback from anonymous employee surveys. Overall, 4,355 workers completed the online survey.
Once the winners were selected, Milwaukee Magazine conducted interviews with executives, managers and employees at selected companies.
This is the fifth time since 2001 that Milwaukee Magazine and MRA have teamed up to evaluate workplace practices among companies in Southeastern Wisconsin.
