RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Environmental Science, a business unit of Bayer CropScience LP, has released a new training DVD that will help to educate pest management professionals (PMPs) on various aspects of one of the industry’s most difficult-to-control pests: bed bugs. The DVD, entitled “Bed Bug Control for Pest Management Professionals,” includes identification and treatment tips from renowned industry expert Dr. Austin Frishman as well as commentary from Joe Barile, BCE, technical services coordinator at Bayer, and Paul J. Bello, president of PJB Pest Management Consulting LLC and author of The Bed Bug Combat Manual.
The DVD features the latest news on bed bug biology and behavior as it relates to control, including trends in bed bug management and the latest product innovations from Bayer that help deliver the effective control that customers expect. Other sections specifically address how to treat hotel rooms for the notorious traveling pest and how PMPs can prevent bed bugs from hitch-hiking to other accounts (or home) with them. Chapters detailing how Bayer products such as Temprid SC Insecticide, Drione Dust and Tempo 1% Dust can be used for maximum bed bug control are also included on the DVD.
“With bed bug infestations on the rise throughout the country, we felt that it was necessary to provide PMPs with an updated resource that they could turn to,” said Gordon Morrison, marketing manager at Bayer. “The new training DVD not only demonstrates the latest tips and tricks in bed bug identification and control from leading industry professionals, but also teaches PMPs how to educate colleagues, hotel employees, and customers alike about how they can take a proactive approach to bed bug control. This knowledge paired with the superior results that Bayer products like Temprid deliver will be crucial to effectively controlling bed bugs in the future.”
