Bayer Names Comis Head of PPM Sales; Kalasz National Accounts Manager

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Bayer Environmental Science announces that Peter Comis has been named Head of Professional Pest Management (PPM) Sales. In this role, Comis will oversee the entire field sales force, leading efforts to continue developing strong working relationships with pest management professionals and distribution throughout the country. Additionally, Eric Kalasz was named PPM National Accounts Manager, responsible for managing all activities related to national account operations. In addition to this role, Kalasz will continue in his position as Vector Business Manager.

Since joining Bayer in 1997, Comis most recently served as Eastern Regional Manager for PPM and previously as field sales representative for New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Comis has 21 years of pest management industry experience and holds a B.S. in agriculture from The Pennsylvania State University.

Kalasz brings 11 years of industry experience to his new position. Most recently, he was the Fungicide Business Manager and Golf Marketing Lead at Bayer. A graduate of the Illinois State University with a B.S. in agribusiness, he also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Sarasota in Tampa, Fla.

Both Comis and Kalasz will continue to be based at Bayer ES headquarters in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
