RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Bayer Environmental Science has released a new DVD showcasing six of the most popular training videos from the company’s “5th Week Training Series.”
The new DVD includes: “Understanding Pesticide Formulations,” “Effective Perimeter Applications,” “Bugs,” “Ant Biology and Control,” “Innovative Ant Baiting” and “Innovative Nursing Home Pest Control.”
“Bayer’s ‘5th Week Training Series’ is designed to allow pest management professionals to offer training when it is most convenient for them, and this DVD takes convenience and sustainability one step further by combining six instructive training videos onto one training tool,” said Gordon Morrison, Maxforce insecticides market manager. “The content of the DVD covers training tips for important economic pests, pesticide formulations and effective applications in sensitive environments.”
The six videos included are:
- “Understanding Pesticide Formulations” — Explains the technology, features and benefits associated with various types of pesticide formulations. Detailed examples demonstrate how a good understanding of formulation technology can be applied for superior pest management results.
- “Effective Perimeter Applications” — Highlights a five-step Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program that demonstrates how to utilize different pesticide formulations to control pests around structures.
- “Bugs” — Innovative commercial kitchen pest control for the professional. A take-off on the television show “Cops” and the movie “Fargo,” this video demonstrates the proper use of Maxforce Baits for controlling roaches in commercial food-handling establishments.
- “Ant Biology and Control” — Basic ant biology and IPM control techniques with an emphasis on the proper use of baits. Dr. Austin Frishman wraps up with specific control techniques for five different ant species.
- “Innovative Ant Baiting” — Discusses ant biology, why baits are the most effective insecticide formulation for eliminating ants and how to properly apply Maxforce Ant Baits.
- “Innovative Nursing Home Pest Control for the Professional” — A practical training video that demonstrates the proper use of Maxforce Baits for controlling cockroaches in sensitive nursing home environments.
The 5th Week Training Series is designed to provide PCOs with in-house training programs that can be scheduled during the extra days at the end of the month, when it’s most convenient.
