RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP, today announced that Al Turner, Area Sales Manager for Bayer’s professional pest management business, has been awarded the prestigious Harry J. Balcom Legend Award from the Florida Pest Management Association (FPMA). The award, given to the FPMA member who exemplifies the highest level of professionalism and service, was presented to Turner at FPMA’s annual recent summer conference, FPMA in Paradise.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized by FPMA and my peers,” Turner said. “I have a great passion for advancing the Florida pest management industry and look forward to continuing to work with FPMA for years to come.”
In addition to career performance, the recipient of the award also displays a high level of service to both FPMA and the general Florida pest management industry as a whole. Throughout his career, Turner has worked closely with FPMA leaders and pest management professionals to determine what FPMA can be doing to serve the industry, helping to inform strategic direction and planning for the association.
“Al’s leadership, proven performance and demonstrated integrity make him an extremely worthy recipient of this award,” said Shawn Mullen, Eastern US Sales Manager for Bayer. “He has built an incredible career of service and is a major asset to our Bayer team.”
