Bayer Vector Announces New Packaging

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Bayer Environmental Science announced that the 25-5 Pyrenone® Public Health Insecticide will be packaged in 30 gallon returnable and refillable drums. The new drums have a special fitting that allows access through a coupler and makes it easier for mosquito control professionals to use. Also, the mixer/loader has far less exposure due to the “closed” system while loading.

“We focus on creating and providing products with enhanced handling benefits,” says Eric Kalasz, business manager for the Bayer Environmental Science Vector control business. “The new packaging is a win-win for the customer and the environment,” said Kalasz.

County and district officials no longer have a disposal concern because of the new system’s simplicity. Customers call the 800- number listed on the drum and the drum recycler returns, cleans, and delivers the drum back to Bayer for re-filling. The new 30 gallon returnable is in addition to 30 gallon Aqua-Reslin® and all of the company’s 275 gallon sizes of Scourge® and Permanone®, all of these insecticides are returnable and re-fillable.
