Bed Bugs Discovered in Cleveland Federal Building

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Areas of the Federal Building in downtown Cleveland were treated for bed bugs after a small infestation was discovered this month, The Plain Dealer reports.

The infestation is under control, after two floors were treated for the pests, a spokeswoman for the General Services Administration told the newspaper.

Dr. Susan Jones, an entomologist and bed bug expert with Ohio State University, told The Plain Dealer that bed bugs found in office spaces is becoming "more and more common."

"It's a reflection of the fact that bed bug occurence in the community is at a very high level," she said.
