Bell’s TeradAG receives OMRI Listing for use in organic operations

MADISON, WIS – Bell Laboratories’ Terad ₃ AG Blox and Pellets recently received the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) Listing for use in organic operations.

The OMRI Listing now assures organic farmers and pest management professionals servicing organic production accounts that Terad ₃ AG Blox and Pellets can be used to fight rodent infestations on certified organic operations, including food processing, warehousing and storage, and animal production. 

Terad ₃ AG Blox and Pellets contain the active ingredient, Vitamin D₃, which kills Norway rats, roof rats and house mice yet reduces the risk of secondary poisoning and poses low toxicity to birds.

“This recent OMRI Listing for Terad ₃ AG is very exciting because now PMPs and organic operators have a top quality rodenticide to control rats and mice on organic facilities. Before this, they had no baiting options,” noted Bell’s products manager, Suzy Pursell.

Bell is the first and only rodenticide manufacturer to receive listing by OMRI for its Vitamin D₃ bait. OMRI, a non-profit organization founded in 1997, provides an independent review of products intended for use in operations that are certified organic under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program.

Terad ₃ AG is registered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use in and around agricultural buildings, such as swine, poultry, cattle and dairy facilities. Its active ingredient, Vitamin D₃ is listed on the USDA National Organic Program allowed substances list.

Terad ₃ AG Blox is a dense, tightly compacted 1-oz. extruded block with superb durability. The highly weatherable Blox is excellent in outdoor applications and has a melting point as high as 200° F. Likewise, Terad ₃ AG Pellets are made with an advanced formulation process that produces a fresh, better compressed pellet.
