LYNCHBURG, Va. — The National Federation of Independent Business has named Bert Dodson, Jr. its 2006 Small-Business Champion in Virginia.
The NFIB is Virginia’s largest small-business advocacy group. Dodson is the president and CEO of Dodson Pest Control, Lynchburg, Va. He serves on the NFIB Virginia Leadership Council, which advises the organization on public-policy initiatives impacting small business. Dodson has also been instrumental in organizing the NFIB Virginia Lynchburg Area Action Council, a grassroots activist group connecting small-business owners to legislators.
Dodson was re-elected to a third 4-year term on the Lynchburg City Council in the May 2nd election.
Dodson Pest Control has its corporate headquarters in Lynchburg, with 32 offices throughout Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
