LYNCHBURG, Va. – Bert Dodson, Jr., president and CEO of Dodson Bros. Exterminating Co., Lynchburg, Va., has won re-election to a third 4-year term in office on the Lynchburg City Council.
Dodson, Jr. retained one of three at-large seats in the May 2nd election. The election drew a record-breaking number of 12 candidates to fill only three seats. Altogether, there are seven seats on Lynchburg City Council. Dodson is also a former vice-mayor of the city.
Dodson said he is “eager to continue working hard for city support of public education, law enforcement and firefighters. We’ve made a lot of progress in our city and we need to keep making progress.” Lynchburg has a population of approximately 65,000.
Dodson Bros., has its corporate headquarters in Lynchburg, with 32 offices throughout Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
