Kohlhaase and his wife were in the restaurant business for three years before entering the pest control business in 1950. In 1976, Kohlhaase sold his company to good friend and competitor, Ward Combs, Presto-X-Company’s founder.
While employed by Presto-X-Company, Kohlhaase served on the Board of Directors and his various job titles included Termite Division Manager, Building and Fleet Manager, and Purchasing Director. Kohlhaase retired in 1996 but continued to work for Presto-X-Company on an as needed basis until 2005.
Kohlhaase is survived by his wife Margaret, two sons, a daughter and his sister. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, employee and, most importantly, a true friend to everyone.
