CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Black Pest Prevention, was a flagship sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  The “Black Pest Froggers” team raised $8,143 for breast cancer research, education, patient services and advocacy programs.  It was Black Pest’s 5th consecutive year as a flagship sponsor.

The team of 21 Froggers participated in the annual Making Strides Walk on Sept. 26, held at Symphony Park at the SouthPark Mall in Charlotte. In preparation for the walk, Black Pest Prevention raised money and awareness through their newly designed website and by sending fliers and donation letters to their customer base.

As the longest running sponsor of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Charlotte, Black Pest Prevention continues to raise the most money out of all flagship sponsors since beginning in 2005. Black Pest Prevention proudly displays the pink ribbon symbol on company vehicles, literature, on their web site and even in advertisements.

“We are so appreciative of all who donated,” said Mike Davis, chief operating officer of Black Pest Prevention. “Our Black Pest Prevention employees, friends and family, industry vendors like BASF and Univar, and our loyal customers helped us raise over $8,000, even in these tough times.”
