BOMA International Honors Cooper Pest Solutions

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. –The Building Owners and Managers Association of New Jersey (BOMA), awarded Cooper Pest Solutions with The Office Building of the Year Award for the Middle Atlantic Region under 100,000 square foot category.

The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Award was created in 1985 to recognize excellence in the office building industry. The TOBY Award is one of the most prestigious and highly-esteemed awards in the real-estate industry. The comprehensive criteria for the award includes; excellence in building management, operational efficiency, tenant retention, emergency planning, and community impact.

The Middle Atlantic Conference of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) is currently comprised of 15 BOMA locals within the states of: Maryland; Massachusetts; New York; Connecticut; New Jersey; Pennsylvania; and the District of Columbia, Washington DC. The region’s mission is to assist the various local members in promoting a stronger network, better advocacy, more professional education, and to continue to help members in the real estate industry.

Cooper Pest Solutions qualified for this award because they were the recipients of their local 2007 Office Building of the Year Award for BOMA NJ in the under 100,000 square foot category.

“I am so happy that the patience and diligence in designing our new building has paid off,” said Phillip Cooper, president. “We spent so much time consulting and planning the new addition and upgrades to the building. We planned this building with our employees in mind.”

Cooper Pest Solutions, located at 351 Lawrence Station Road, is a 6,800 square foot office building that is home to 60+ employees. The buildings amenities are numerous and have contributed to a high employee retention rate.

“I really enjoy working here,” said Stephanie Madden, director of Public Relations. “The building has a unique design that makes it easy for me to get my work done and enjoy my time spent here.”

Cooper Pest Solutions also boasts a Lawrence Station Road historical time line in the foyer, which was recognized by the Lawrenceville Historical Society as a historical landmark.

The TOBY Reception and Banquet was held Thursday June 24th at the Colorado Convention Center sponsored by Grubb & Ellis.
