DEMING, N.M. — Border Pest Control, Deming, N.M., took first place for its parade float that appeared in the Southwestern New Mexico State Fair, held Oct. 7-9 at the Luna County Fairgrounds.
Border created a “bug-themed” float that included kids dressed up in bug costumes. In addition, Border set up a display booth at the fair for a "Good Bug, Bad Bug" presentation. Hundreds of kids came by the Border booth, listened to the presentation and won prizes.
