SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. — Borite Termite & Pest Treatments was accepted into the EPA (PESP) Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program.
“We feel extremely fortunate to be the first pest control company in California and one of the first 10 in the US to be selected,” said Borite’s Jack Launius. “One of our objectives is to control unwanted pest populations with mechanical and cultural measures. When pesticides are necessary we use the least amount of product at the lowest toxicity to control undesirable pest populations.”
Launius added that one of the items in his company’s 2005 strategic plan is to invite the owners of other pest control companies to spend a day in the field with Borite workers to observe a typical treatment first hand.
