Boles has been employed with Schendel since 1994 and previously held the positions of sales manager and general manager. Mages started with Schendel in 1962, while still a senior in high school, as a part-time service technician. In 1979, company founder Bob Schendel transferred ownership to Mages. Since then, Mages has been instrumental in growing the local company into a multi-million dollar operation serving seven states, and employing more than 90 associates.
According to Mages, he is both excited and proud to hand the reins over to son-in-law Boles. “Obviously, I am impressed with the talent and growth Brent has brought to Schendel for the past 12 years. Brent has great plans to expand our operations even further while continuing to protect the health and property of our current customers as we have for nearly 60 years.”
Boles added that he is ready for both the change and also the challenge that ownership brings. “This is first and foremost a family business, and I am thrilled to allow Schendel Pest Services to stay within our family. I believe the years I have spent as a partner with Paul have prepared me for this. Since I’ve worked my way up through the company, I feel as though I have a complete understanding of what it takes to run our business successfully and to service our customers completely.”
