Brothers Open Newest Truly Nolen Location in South Daytona

TUCSON, Ariz. – Truly Nolen Pest Control recently opened it's newest franchise location in South Daytona, Fla. The franchise is co-owned by franchisees Terrance Parker and Terrell Rainey, who are also brothers.

On Tuesday, Jan. 9, Parker and Rainey hosted the Daytona Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce on-site for an official ribbon cutting welcoming them to the neighborhood. Their region goes from Palm Coast to the north all the way down to Oak Hill to the south.

Parker recently finished 12 years as a service technician manager at Truly Nolen’s Tampa commercial service office. He left in November to open his own franchise with his brother.

“I have always enjoyed working for Truly Nolen because it is a family-owned company, and they treat their employees as family,” said Parker. “When I decided I wanted to be my own boss while maintaining my connection to the company, I spoke with my brother and we decided to give extra meaning to family-owned through our new franchise.”

Parker is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a background with their music program. He is also a deacon in his church and often plays drums there.

Meanwhile, Rainey is a retired U.S. Army veteran with four combat tours under his belt and earned a bachelor’s degree in homeland security and investigations from Florida Memorial University in Miami, Fla.

He is presently working on his master's in cybersecurity.

“With Terrance’s 12 years of pest control experience and my financial analysis background, we figured this would be a great opportunity to open our own business,” said Rainey. “It will also allow us to give back to the local community in our own special way.”

In his spare time, Rainey loves to cook, watch sporting events and play 2K basketball with his children.

Truly Nolen Director of Domestic Franchising Lance Washington said the brothers went through training recently at the company’s east coast operations center in Orlando, Fla., and is pleased to have them as part of the company’s family.

“Terrance and Terrell were fantastic to work with during training, and the two of them complement each other perfectly,” said Washington. “Their desire to help their community any way they can should help him in Daytona Beach and throughout Volusia County and up into south Flagler County in the years to come.”
