PARAMUS, N.J. — In a recent visit to the Bug Doctor offices, the staff welcomed Dave Carlin, reporter for CBS 2 News, who covers breaking news stories and major events in the Tri-State (NY/NJ/CT).
Carlin sat down with Nancy Madrid, vice president of administration, at Bug Doctor, on Feb. 9, to report on the rise of bed bugs in a segment titled, “Number Of Bed Bugs At NYC Hotels Skyrocketing.”
Madrid recommended that when staying at hotels “to put all bags on the hotel luggage rack or in the bathtub.” She added that when you get home, “run a vacuum through the luggage and shake off clothes.”
Stuart Aust, president and CEO of Bug Doctor, told Carlin that there’s been nearly a 300 percent jump year-to-date for Bed Bug infestations. The segment aired on Feb. 9, on the 6 p.m. CBS Nightly News.
