NEW YORK — On July 30, Bug Off Pest Control Center, in association with Allergy Technologies, manufacturer of ActiveGuard Mattress Liners, will present an advanced training program on bed bugs and their control. Attendees will learn about their biology and habits in light of new research. There will be a review of detection and treatment survey results as well as an evaluation of chemical, non-chemical and mechanical product performance. In the second part of the program, there will be a discussion of Dr. Susan Jones' published study in the Journal of Medical Entomology on the effectiveness of permethrin-impregnated mattress liners. Attendees will also have the opportunity to try out assessment tools hands-on. Lunch and refreshments will be served and special one-day-only promos will be offered.
The program will be held from 12:00 noon to 4:30 pm at Bug Off's Career Training Center, 1085 Saint Nicholas Ave, New York, NY 10032. New York recertification credits will be awarded.
