SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Following NPMA's announcement last week about the association launching its QualiityPro Green Services Program, Pest Control Operators of Calfornia reports that California companies that are PCOC members are eligible to participate in QualityPro and QualityPro Green.
The association said in a press release, “In response to the public’s growing request for ‘green’ offerings in the marketplace, the Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC) and the National Pest Management Association have partnered in the development of the ‘QualityPro Green’ Service Program, an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Certification.”
“IPM and other sustainable practices are very important to Californians,” said Martyn Hopper, executive vice president of PCOC. “PCOC strongly believes that offering and marketing green services will provide consumers with the range of options they desire,” he added.
Only PCOC members who demonstrate a knowledge and practical application of IPM are eligible to provide this new certified service. The QualityPro designation also requires the business practices of pest management operations be of the highest degree.
“This new designation is one more way that our members can show their commitment to protecting public health and the environment,” added Hopper.
