SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California Association of Pest Management Advocates (CAPMA) gathered in Sacramento, Calif., April 7–9, for its annual Legislative Days, bringing together pest management professionals from across the state to connect, collaborate and advocate for the future of the industry.

The event began Monday with a golf tournament and BBQ lunch at Teal Bend Golf Course, followed by a casual networking evening at the annual Bug Crawl pub crawl. Tuesday was packed with professional development and leadership engagement.
For the first time, CAPMA offered three hours of Branch 3 CEUs, with presentations by expert speakers:
● Advancing Termite Management: Science, Technology, and Sustainability, Dr. Sang-Bin Lee, UC Agriculture and Natural Resources
● Termite Management Updates: Gregg Gransie, Target Specialty Products
● 2025 Commitment to Excellence: Introduction to Fumigation, Carlos Montejano, Douglas Products
CAPMA said they appreciate these speakers for sharing their knowledge and advancing the conversation around innovation and best practices in termite and fumigation services.
In addition to the CEU sessions, members participated in a full slate of committee meetings, covering topics including, legislative affairs, general pest, termite, and more. These sessions provided an important opportunity to share ideas, discuss emerging issues, and align on goals for the year ahead.
The day concluded with the board of directors meeting, where CAPMA leaders came together to continue guiding the strategic direction of the association. Wednesday featured a sponsored breakfast and legislative briefing before members met with lawmakers at the Capitol’s Swing Space.
The event concluded with a Legislative Luncheon, where CAPMA members welcomed Assembly member Heath Flora (District 9) as the guest speaker.
