AUSTIN - Caritas of Austin, the charity for which Bobby Jenkins raised money for by bicycling from Austin, Texas to Calgary, Alberta, Canada for, will be holding a “Welcome Back Bobby Bike Bash,” Thursday July 9, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at Plucker’s, 3909 South Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas.
Twenty percent of all food proceeds come back to Caritas of Austin and will be added to Bobby’s fundraising goal of $50,000. Caritas’ mission is to be “a service continuum for those experiencing poverty that begins with a safety net and links them to resources to achieve self-sufficiency.”
Bobby, Raleigh and Dennis Jenkins spent the past five weeks bicycling from Austin to Calgary and each of the brothers raised funds for their respective charities.
