European Pest Management Day will provide a platform to address the key political factors affecting the European industry. The overriding objective is for this to be a single unifying occasion, drawing together the pest control industry including national associations, manufacturers, distributors, leading service companies and consultants.
Commenting on the new event, Robert Stuyt, CEPA President said: “Having observed Legislation Day organised by NPMA in the U.S.A., it was obvious much can be achieved by drawing the industry together and concentrating on current key legislative issues. We have taken note of the U.S. event and come up with a program appropriate to the European cultural and political environment.”
The event starts on Nov. 28 with a tour of the European Parliament that may include the opportunity to attend and observe a session, assuming the Parliament is in action. This will be followed by a gala dinner. Day two is a conference that will review the impact (present and future) of the Biocides, Service and Environment Directives with a series of speakers from the European Commission and industry.
Further details of costs, hotels and booking arrangements will be handled by each national pest control association or direct from CEPA. Contact Rob Fryatt at robfryatt@cepa-europe.org.
