KENT, Wash. — Certus added to its growing business in Washington state with the acquisition of Able Pest Control, Kent, Wash.
Founded in 1956, Able Pest services the greater Seattle metro area. James Nation Sr. purchased the business in 1985, employing his sons James Jr. (Jim) and Gerald (Jerry) and daughter MaryAnn. Jim and Jerry Nation acquired the business from their parents in 2014 and have operated it with the continued help of sister MaryAnn Strong running the office.
Jim Nation said, “With all three of us retiring, finding the right company to trust to maintain our service promise to customers was tricky, but through conversations with other owners and potential buyers, it became clear that Certus was the right choice.”
Added Jerry Nation, “Our company has always been about family, and my son plans to continue with the business. Certus has welcomed him onto their team and provided a home where he has more growth potential and support.”
