A 'Buggy Biplane' diorama, prepared and submitted by Gerry Wegner of Varment Guard, was auctioned off to help raise funds for the Ohio Pest Control Association Scholarship Fund.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The most unique item submitted for auction at the recent 2008 Summer Meeting of the Ohio Pest Control Association was a “Buggy Biplane” diorama, prepared and submitted by Gerry Wegner of Varment Guard Environmental Services, Inc.

The winning bid of $800 by Jason Carpenter of Environmental Pest Management, was generously matched by the Greater Cleveland Pest Control Association.

All proceeds from the auction go towards the OPCA Scholarship fund, from which several scholarships are awarded annually to qualifying students who are OPCA member company employees or family.
