NEW YORK - Following Breast Cancer Awareness month initiatives that included wearing black and pink Colony snap backs, Colony Pest Management, Brooklyn, N.Y., is now participating in No Shave November, aka NOSHEMBER.

Every year, in the month of November, many Colony team members take part in NOSHEMBER. The goal is for employees to grow awareness by embracing their hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free.

Some donate the money they typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle. The rules of No Shave November are simple: put down your razor for 30 days. Colony Pest will be raising money, as Colony Cares. Colony donates a minimum of $100 per participating Team member. The company encourages all colleagues, peers, friends and family to participate, donate, raise awareness, and do whatever you can to fight cancer.

Unfortunately, a fellow pest management professional and close friend lost his wife to cancer last week at an extremely young age. Colony President Joseph Sheehan said the company's thoughts and prayers remain with the family, and this year they will be donating all monies raised to a cancer charity of their choice.
