LOUISVILLE, Colo. A case of plague in a cat has been reported by Boulder County health officials, according to CBS 4 Denver.
The domestic cat in Louisville, Colo., tested positive on Friday, but the results became public only this week.
Fleas spread the infectious disease to wild rodents and other small mammals, include prairie dogs, rabbits, rats and squirrels.
