Cook’s Announces Series of Corporate Promotions

DECATUR, Ala. – Cook’s Pest Control announces a series of corporate promotions to prepare the company for a new phase of growth:

• JD Choat – vice president /regional manager
• Ronny Murphy – vice president/regional manager
• Chuck Carney – vice president/regional manager
• Carl Monin – vice president/human resources
• Sam Alfano – Chief Financial Officer
• Arthur Orr – vice president/general counsel
• Stephen Gates – director of technical services

President and CEO Jim Aycock said, “Sucession planning is vital to all organizations that desire to continue their rate of progress from the past and present into the future. It is critical at all levels of management that we have individuals in places of leadership who will see that the future of Cook’s Pest Control is secure and that the values set forth in our Position and Mission Statement continue to be what guide and direct the decisions and actions of Cook’s Pest Control.”

Gates is a resident of Decatur, Ala., and has been with Cook’s for eight years and was previously pest control services manager.

Choat is a resident of Florence, Ala., and celebrated his 40th anniversary with Cook’s in May. He has been a regional manager since 1998.

Murphy is a resident of Cullman, Ala., and has been with Cook’s for 33 years and has also been a Regional Manager since 1998.

Carney is a resident of Villa Rica, Ga., and joined Cook’s in 1998 and has been a regional manager since 2003.

Monin is a resident of Decatur, Ala., and has been with Cook’s 11 years, beginning his career as customer care manager, then joining the human resources department in 2000.

Alfano is a resident of Decatur, Ala., and joined the company in 2000 and has been instrumental in mainstreaming and updating accounting procedures for the company.

Orr is a resident of Decatur, Ala., and joined Cook’s in 2001 and has assumed most of the legal duties during the semi-retirement of Joe Sides.
