DECATUR, Ala. — Cook’s Pest Control has appointed Stephen Gates vice president of Techncial Services.
Gates is a 14-year veteran of Cook’s Pest Control and holds an entomology degree from Auburn University. He is also a board certified entomologist and has served the Alabama Pest Control Association in a variety of leadership roles, including multiple terms as president.
Beginning his career with Cook’s as a manager trainee, Stephen helped introduce the Sentricon System throughout the company in 1998. In 2002, he was promoted to Pest Control Services Manager and in 2007 became Director of Technical Services.
Cook’s Pest Control is known throughout the pest control industry for providing the highest quality customer service. Gates’ efforts have played a major role in validating this quality service image. Under his direction, the service statistics relating to Cook’s customer retention and service quality continue to lead the industry.
Chief Operating Officer Joey Harris said, “Stephen is a unique individual in that he sees the big picture. He is not selfish and wants the company to excel as a whole instead of limiting himself to service. He looks for ways in which to get things done and challenges obstacles that might hold others back.
