The first is the Pi Chi Omega Scholarship Fund. Pi Chi Omega, a pest management industry fraternity, provides scholarships to entomology students who are the future of the pest management industry. The second is the National Pest Management Association Foundation, which provides grants for the research, development and refinement of pest management tools and techniques.
In total, attendees of the conference raised $3,390 - $1,695 will be donated to each organization.
The raffle, sponsored by Interview Technologies, awarded prizes as follows:
• Jerry Parten, Plunkett’s Pest Control, Fridley, Minn, was the Grand Prize winner of a $1,000 gift certificate.
• John Fortuna, Copesan, Brookfield, WI, won a $500 Target gift card.
• Ben Walker, Gregory Pest Prevention, Greenville, SC won a $300 in Starbuck’s, Crate & Barrel and Home Depot gift cards.
• Chris Arne, Ehrlich, Reading, PA won a $100 Petco gift card and $100 GAP gift card.
