WASHINGTON - Copesan Services announced its $11,180 contribution to two key charitable organizations providing scholarship funds and research support to the pest management industry.
The Copesan network of local service providers has been raising funds for seventeen years in support of Pi Chi Omega and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Foundation for research through our annual Copesan Charity Raffle. “Supporting the industry and its growth through research and education is important to the Copesan family. We have so many generous team members in our network who value the efforts of these organizations,” shared Deni Naumann, Copesan Services, Inc., President. “And, we are especially excited to earmark this year’s Pi Chi Omega donation to the Dr. Austin Frishman Scholarship Fund. Dr. Frishman had a profound impact on our network in the early years, playing a key role in the development of our training platform and the protocols that provide the foundation for our quality service delivered by local experts.”
Sponsored by Syngenta, the 2018 fundraising raffle was held in conjunction with Copesan’s annual conference, February 13-15, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year’s event celebrated Copesan’s 60th anniversary and was attended by over 300 members of the Copesan Partner network and pest management suppliers who raised $4,590 in just a few short days. Copesan matched this amount for a total donation of $9,180 to be equally divided between Pi Chi Omega’s Dr. Austin Frishman Scholarship Fund and the NPMA Pest Management Foundation for research. To celebrate its 60th, Copesan contributed an additional $2,000 to Pi Chi Omega’s Frishman Fund in recognition of our national client speakers, who presented compelling perspectives from the field during the 2018 Copesan Conference.
Pi Chi Omega, a pest management professional fraternity, provides multiple $2,000 scholarships each year to deserving entomology students at universities across the country and around the world. The NPMA Pest Management Foundation has been providing grants for the research, development and refinement of pest management tools and techniques for over 30 years.
