WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Joe and Wendy Felegi were among just 75 U.S. franchise small-business operators who were singled out for outstanding performance and honored by the International Franchise Association during its 47th annual convention in Las Vegas.

The IFA is the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchising. The Felegi’s operate several Critter Control franchise locations in Florida. For 18 years the Felegi’s have provided Florida residents, businesses and municipalities with integrated animal control & wildlife management solutions.

Honoring the Felegi’s was David Jordan, vice president, food service, PepsiCO, who said: “These award presentations are the IFA’s way of celebrating the entrepreneurs who work hard every day on the front lines: our franchisees. The Franchisee of the Year awards honor franchisees who have done an outstanding job in the past year to help build their company’s brand credibility and reputation of excellence among consumers. IFA Franchisor Member companies make the selection for their system – to recognize their partners who haveperformed above and beyond the call of duty.

“Wendy and I have worked hard to build a reputable Florida service business and it’s certainly and honor to be recognized by the IFA for our efforts.” said Felegi. “Our line of work in the service industry is very unique. Dealing with wildlife, helping to manage the co-existence of man and wildlife is not glamorous work , so recognition for our efforts is rare. We’re very appreciative to be the recipients of this prestigious award.”
