TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — The winner of the 1st Annual International Game Fish Association’s “New Membership Incentive Award Program” is Captain Kevin Clark, founder and CEO of Critter Control.

Clark has been an IGFA Representative for Traverse City, Mich., since 2000, and he garnered a total of 50 new members over the last six months to win top recruiting honors.

For his efforts Clark will receive two VIP complimentary tickets, hotel accommodations and an award to be presented at the 24th Annual IGFA Annual Auction & Banquet on January 25th, 2008 at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. He will also receive a day of fishing (Florida inshore/offshore); have his name engraved on a perpetual trophy that will reside at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum; an IGFA Certificate of Appreciation; recognition on www.igfa.org website, in the International Angler newsletter, and in the IGFA World Record Game Fishes book. Towards those goals Critter Control has funded urban raccoon, squirrel and coyote research, and worked with animal welfare and state wildlife agencies on animal relocation issues, humane trap standards, and the training, licensing and certification of wildlife control technicians. Other conservation projects Critter Control has contributed to include consulting with Ecuador's Galapagos National Park staff on rodent control, and helping the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation purchase rainforest habitat on the Caribbean island of Dominica to protect the habitat of the Imperial Amazon parrot.

Mike Dwyer, president of Critter Control, says, “our support of the IGFA and urban wildlife ‘catch-and-release’ programs are just two more examples of how our 450 plus team members think globally - and act locally.”
