CSI: Crime Scene Insects Exhibit Takes Over the Big Apple

The traveling exhibit educates homeowners about insects and pest control.

QUEENS, N.Y. — Insects are swarming the Big Apple thanks to CSI: Crime Scene Insects, currently on display at the New York Hall of Science in Queens. Since opening under the sponsorship of Bayer Environmental Science last spring, news of the exhibit has reached more than 22 million people.

Bayer’s partnership with the exhibit, which features interactive case studies, live insects, and unique forensic visuals, helps to elevate the image of the professional pest management industry. Because many of the insects associated with forensic entomology are also common household pests, Bayer ES customized its “Pesty Pest Facts,” a series of panels packed with pest prevention tips that have been embedded into the exhibit. These panels provide a solutions-based component to the exhibit and remind homeowners about the importance of working with a pest management professional for the prevention and detection of pests.

CSI will appear at the New York Hall of Science, located on 111th Street in Queens, through September 10. For admission information, visit http://www.nyscience.org/index.php.
