Cynthia Gigandet Joins BASF’s Specialty Products Division as Marketing Manager

Gigandet will oversee the marketing strategy and direction for the group, which manufactures and markets Termidor and Phantom, and other specialty products for the professional pest control industry.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – BASF has appointed Cynthia Gigandet as marketing manager for the Professional Pest Control group. In this role, Gigandet will oversee the marketing strategy and direction for the group, which manufactures and markets Termidor® termiticide/insecticide and Phantom® termiticide-insecticide, along with other specialty products for the professional pest control industry.

Gigandet brings with her brand management expertise in developing and implementing customer-focused go-to-market strategies within highly competitive and mature industries. In various managerial functions at the John Deere Worldwide Commercial and Consumer Equipment Division, Gigandet managed marketing strategy, planning and execution for several different product lines, and also spearheaded multiple major product introductions that included sales training, product positioning, and creating and executing marketing initiatives. She has a wide range of agricultural experience that includes research for both the Agricultural and Resource Economics Department of the N.C. State University-Agricultural Institute and The American Meat Institute.

Gigandet received a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing and Business Administration from Campbell University. She has also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Business Management and an Associate of Applied Science in Agricultural Business Management from North Carolina State University.
