POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. and MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Davidson Business Services announced a new collaboration with m3 Advisory Services to bring legal and business consulting to the pest management industry. Through this new relationship, Mark Davidson and Melisa Manns will work together to target optimization and growth goals for pest management professionals across the country. This collaboration is the next evolution of DBS’ mission of helping the industry grow through the guidance of experienced professionals.
Manns has dedicated her career to advocating on behalf of highly regulated, commercial service and recurring revenue enterprises. Moving from the private security industry into the pest management arena, she contributed to the growth of organizations by providing executive leadership, strategic legal and business advice, and risk assessment. She has also facilitated numerous M&A and commercial transactions and executed enterprise development, reorganization and integration initiatives.
She gained extensive experience while previously serving more than 18 years with Terminix, Copesan Services and their family of brands. She joined the company as Corporate Counsel and was promoted through various levels of leadership, including her work as Chief Ethics Officer and Vice President, General Counsel, most recently focusing on public policy and government affairs. Manns supports companies by bringing a strategic approach to the holistic business development of the organization.
Manns also eagerly builds networks promoting career opportunities for underrepresented communities and entrepreneurs. She was the founding chairperson for the women’s network at each of her companies and currently mentors emerging talent. She has been a featured speaker on topics ranging from regulatory affairs and compliance activities to legal operations and women’s issues in the workplace. She has served in several capacities with the National Pest Management Association, most notably as a current member of the Public Policy Committee and a former Director for the Pest Management Foundation. She also currently serves as member of the Board of Directors for AIB International – Certification Services and the Hands United Foundation.
