LYNCHBURG, Va. – Dodson Bros. announced that David Moore, manager of technical services, was recently accredited as a Board Certified Entomologist by the Entomological Society of America. Moore is currently one of only 12 BCEs to reside in the state of Virginia.
“We are very proud of David Moore and the knowledge he gained in order to become a certified BCE,” said Bert Dodson, Jr., President/CEO. "It means a great deal to have a nationally recognized, certified professional as part of the company.”
Moore has worked for Dodson Bros. since 2014. He graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Montana State University. Moore also earned his Masters of Science in Entomology from Virginia Tech in 2006. Moore has been involved in the pest management industry for over 15 years and has held a multitude of roles including a field technician, sales, management, and technical positions.
“Since I was introduced to the pest management industry, I get to do two things I love to do: Help people and solve problems,” said Moore. “My roles have changed, but I fundamentally do the same thing. This achievement reflects my field experience and education I have received. Hopefully this certification will allow me more opportunities to give back to an industry that has treated me very well.”
