Dodson Pest Control Acquires Tom Gressette Pest Control

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Dodson Pest Control announced that it has acquired the assets of Tom Gressette Pest Control of Florence, S.C. Tom Gressette Pest Control, family-owned and -operated, has been in business since 1964. Tom Gressette said, “After 40 years of providing quality pest control service, I am looking forward to retiring and playing a little more golf.”

Terms of the sale to Dodson Pest Control were not disclosed. Dodson Pest Control is one of the largest family-owned and operated pest management companies in the country. Established in Lynchburg, Va., in 1944, Dodson Pest Control opened an office in Florence 10 years ago and has provided service to the greater Florence area for more than 30 years.

Dodson President and CEO, Bert Dodson, Jr. said, “We will continue to maintain Mr. Gressette’s deep commitment to quality service. We look forward to accommodating the service needs of our new customers.”

With its’ newest acquisition, Dodson Pest Control now has 34 offices throughout Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
