Dow Announces 2006 Commitment to Excellence Program Members

 INDIANAPOLIS – Dow AgroSciences has formally announced the members of the 2006 Commitment to Excellence (CTE) Program. A total of 118 fumigation businesses, located in California, Florida and Hawaii, are CTE-certified this year. Businesses participating in the CTE Program are recognized for making a commitment to excel in the area of whole-structure fumigation with Vikane® gas fumigant, manufactured by Dow AgroSciences.

Dow AgroSciences instituted the Commitment to ExcellenceSM Program in the late 1990s to offer an opportunity for distinction to companies who are dedicated to the highest standards in the area of whole-structure fumigation with Vikane. Licensed fumigators must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of fumigation by passing a comprehensive annual exam on fumigation practices to qualify their business as a member of the CTE program. Annual examinations ensure that CTE members are always current on the latest and most advanced fumigation techniques and regulations. Additionally, CTE members must own and operate specific fumigation equipment, including specialized fumigation monitoring devices.
