RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — BASF recently announced the addition of Dr. Anil Menon as Market Development Specialist for the Midwest United States. Menon will oversee technical support operations for BASF Professional Pest Control products in the Midwest region, manage technical training, coordinate university research and explore market development opportunities within the pest control industry.

Menon brings with him a wealth of industry experience, most recently as the technical and training director for Wil-Kil Pest Control in Wisconsin. His duties included technical support, exploration of new markets, and development of training programs, safety procedures and online training courses. He previously taught introductory courses in biology as an adjunct assistant professor at Johnson County Community College in Kansas, and was a research associate for the Department of Grain Science and Industry at Kansas State University. He also specialized in residential and commercial pest control as a pest management professional for Terminix International in Kansas.

Kisner, senior marketing manager for BASF’s Professional Pest Control group. “His diverse experience in the field, in the lab, and in the classroom will be of great benefit to our partners throughout the industry, particularly in the Midwest region where Dr. Menon will be based.”
Menon is active in a number of industry associations, including the Entomological Society of America and Phi Chi Omega. Previously, he was a member of the Copesan Technical and Education Committees. A board certified entomologist, he has presented many talks and workshops at industry conferences and events.
Menon is the recipient of a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and master’s degree in entomology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in India. He earned his doctoral degree in entomology from Kansas State University.
