ORLANDO — The Florida Pest and Lawn Care Expo, scheduled for Jan. 29-31 in Orlando, features keynote speaker Dr. Jay Lehr, an economist and futurist.

Calling on five decades of expertise and experience, Lehr combines a deep understanding of both science and economics in describing the impact of advancing technologies on the local, regional, national, and global economy.
Lehr has spoken to hundreds of groups, seminars, major news networks, radio programs and has written nineteen books to spread true science, educate on today's hot topics and to dispel the unfair and inaccurate claims made by environmental advocacy groups. On 36 occasions he has testified in congress to explain the realities of environmental issues as they related to pending legislation.

His expertise and experience in Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Environmental Science and Business Administration and precise knowledge of U.S. Farm, energy and environmental legislation allows him to confidently predict a bright future for American agri-business, sustainable energy and for the environment.

Pest management and lawn care professionals will also have an opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations at the Product Field day and talk one-on-one with suppliers and manufacturers at the trade show.

In addition to ten hours of continuing education classes, management sessions will focus on profitability, using consultants, advances in routing technology, customer service, hiring and recruiting employees, and finding the right website designer.

Hardworking pest management and lawn care pros will get a chance to relax at the Monday golf tournament, and over great steaks, fish and chili served by colleagues at the traditional Wednesday night cookout.
