ST. PAUL - Ecolab announced 2015 second quarter earnings.
The company had gains in its industrial, institutional and other segments — which includes pest control. These gains offset sluggish performance from its energy sector to report net income of $302 million, or $1 per share, down from $311.4 million, or $1.02 per share. After adjustments for one-time occurrences, net income for the second quarter was $323.7 million, or $1.08 a share.
Total revenue for the quarter was $3.4 billion, down 5 percent from the second quarter last year. On a fixed currency basis and adjusting for acquisitions, sales for the quarter rose 2 percent for the provider of water, hygiene and energy technologies and services.
