Russell has managed EcoSMART’s business development in Southern California since February 2005 and is a seasoned management executive with local and international experience in sales, marketing and advertising. His career has focused on companies in startup, turnaround and streamlining phases, and his hands-on leadership skills have helped build highly motivated and successful teams.
“Guy Russell is a huge asset to EcoSMART Technologies, and we are delighted to have him direct sales for our commercial division,” said Paul Anderegg, EcoSMART’s chief executive officer. “His focus on brand establishment and significant sales growth will help us to push the boundaries of botanical pesticides. In addition to being a motivational team leader, Russell is an innovative strategist, a skilled and trusted negotiator and a vigorous troubleshooter at all levels. Prior to joining EcoSMART, Russell was responsible for business development with a large commercial pest service provider, the Steritech Group, in California. During his tenure, sales increased by more than 100 percent.
Russell’s international experience includes positions in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Europe and South Africa. In Ireland, while international sales and marketing director at Flex Foods, Russell increased sales throughout the chain’s European markets by 300 percent in nine months, and his restructuring plan turned the company’s substantial loss to substantial profit. In South Africa, Russell lent his senior level management expertise to companies including Stocks Realty Co. and Kitchen Spectrum.
EcoSMART’s commercial division offers a complete line of interior and exterior products for use against a broad spectrum of insect pests.“I am looking forward to boosting EcoSMART’s sales in this exciting market,” said Russell.
Based in Dallas, Tex., Russell will also develop new business in the south-central and Midwestern U.S., and handle larger national accounts such as Orkin, Terminix, Ecolab and Steritech. Russell is a graduate of the Leather Industrial Research Institute in South Africa.
