Eddie Howard Re-appointed to Tennessee Licensing and Advisory Board

Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen has appointed Eddie Howard of Knoxville, Tenn., to the Pest Control Licensing and Advisory Board for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture to a second consecutive term.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen has appointed Eddie Howard of Knoxville, Tenn., to the state's Pest Control Licensing and Advisory Board for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture to a second consecutive term.

Howard was first appointed by former Tennessee Governor Don Sunquist in 2001. He has been in the pest control industry for nearly 30 years starting his career at Pioneer Exterminating Co. in 1976 as a service and sales technician. Howard worked at Pioneer for more than 13 years before starting his own pest control business, Environmental Termite and Pest Control, Inc., in 1991.

In addition, Howard’s industry involvement includes: serving as part owner of the Tennessee Pest Management Association Corporation; holding a Tennessee Real Estate License; Director at James White’s Fort; a member of Pi Chi Omega (pest control fraternity); Associate Member of the Apartment Association of Greater Knoxville; and the Tennessee Association of Housing and Redevelopment and a Tennessee Colonel, Aide de Camp of the Governors Staff.

Howard also is a strong supporter of Keep Knoxville Beautiful, Knox Heritage and the Knox County Humane Soociety.
