Ehrlich Named One of the Top 25 Best Employers in New Jersey

READING, Pa. — Ehrlich Termite and Pest Control has been named one of the 25 Best Medium Sized Companies to Work in New Jersey. As the pest control industry’s largest privately held firm, Ehrlich provides commercial and residential service throughout New Jersey via its offices in Avenel, Bergen County, Cherry Hill, Flemington and Vineland.

"To be included on this list is a real honor,” said Victor Hammel," said Victor Hammel, president of Ehrlich. “It certainly doesn't mean we're a perfect employer, but it does mean our coworkers know how important they are to us."

This is the inaugural year for the program, which is presented by NJBIZ, a weekly business publication, and The Best Companies Group in partnership with the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce and the New Jersey chapter of the Society of Human Resource Managers.

The program is designed to identify the best places of employment in New Jersey. The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program is made up of 50 companies split into two groups: 25 medium-sized and 25 large-sized companies. Participating companies were entered into the two-part process. The first part evaluated each company's policies and practices. The second part involved a confidential coworker survey addressing behavioral tendencies rather than company systems. The results were analyzed and categorized. The Best Company Group then sorted and interpreted the data and determined the top companies.

“I am very proud of the fact that a significant portion of this award was based on actual feedback from our coworkers,” said Hammel. "We have such special people who really go the extra mile to take care of our customers. It was a great feeling to see them recognized. This isn’t a New Jersey award or a company award; it’s a people award.”

Ehrlich was also selected as one of the Top 25 Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania in 2001.
