WINDSOR, Colo. — Tom Cornwell of EnviroPest, Windsor, Colo., has started writing bug-themed songs for a children’s CD. Cornwell started with one song about an ant that he presented to students during a school program. It was such a hit that he wrote another song. The vision has kept growing and now he is working diligently in order to have a CD called "Bug Songs" released by July or August this year. He has even started to think about a CD called "Bug Songs 2."
"There is a lot of work to be done, but it is a labor of love," Cornwell said. "I think it’s important to educate the next generation about insects and one of the best ways children learn is through songs,” he said. Cornwell said he feels that this will also be a great way for the pest control industry to market to the public at-large, and foresees other companies using this as a promotional item.
