WYOMING, Mich.—EnviroSafe, a provider of pest and turf management solutions, was honored with the International Integrated Pest Management Excellence Award at the International Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Symposium held March 24-26, in Portland, Ore.
The award recognizes EnviroSafe’s innovative pest management approach, which helps schools prevent pest problems and choose safer solutions when pests are found. Using a combination of staff education, service visits, and least- to non-toxic products, EnviroSafe has successfully helped over 70 school districts in Michigan and beyond reduce or eliminate their use of pesticides.
“We are thrilled to receive this award and continue to be encouraged by growing interest in our program,” said Bob Stoddard, president of EnviroSafe. “As more schools and communities learn about the value of choosing greener solutions, we hope our program can be a helpful example of alternatives to traditional pest management services.”
The EnviroSafe IPM program was developed in West Michigan and has been an example used by school districts around the country. It is also nationally recognized by leading organizations that promote safer, greener pest management solutions. In 2008, EnviroSafe became the first GreenShield Certified pest management provider in Michigan and one of three such providers in the United States.
