TREANTON, N.J,. – Where most leaders fail is by putting their success ahead of their team’s.

“The number one priority of any great leader is to make the people they lead, great,” said Evolve YT CEO Phil Cooper. “Putting your team’s goals and achievements ahead of your own will only lead you to true success.”

In an effort to change the mindset of middle management, Evolve YT’s Building Your Team’s Greatness course gives supervisors the tactics and tools to improve their teams and develop strong relationships with their direct reports.

“By investing in the relationships with your direct reports, supervisors can expect to see increases in employee morale, production, satisfaction and more,” Cooper said. “But there are specific ways in order to do this, so it doesn’t feel like the supervisor is micromanaging.”

Cooper explained that in the Building Your Team’s Greatness two-day workshop, students will learn about the 10-5-3 model, the 20-60-20 time management tool and more.

“The 10-5-3 model gives managers an open line of communication with their team about their future plans, both professionally and personally, over the course of 10, five and three years,” Cooper said. “Even if the employee doesn’t want to stay with the company, you can still develop that relationship and use their strengths where they are best suited for the time they are there.”

In addition to the 10-5-3 model, Cooper mentioned that students will find the 20-60-20 time management tool enlightening.

“The 20-60-20 tool will definitely take the supervisor out of their comfort zone when it comes to how they schedule their weeks,” Cooper said. “It will make you reevaluate everything you thought was important and what is actually important to the success of your team. You’ll learn that some tasks should be delegated out, where you should be spending the bulk of your time and what activities make the most impact on your direct reports.”

Students will learn all of this and more in the Building Your Team’s Greatness course on Aug. 4 and 5. To enroll in the two-day workshop, visit https://BYTGAugust2022.eventbrite.com. For more information the course or other Evolve YT courses, visit www.EvolveYT.com
