Helmkamp will have overall accountability for the global refrigeration product business, including measures of operating profit, market share, and return on invested capital. She also will lead the global strategic direction and financial outcomes of the category.

"Her proven ability to deliver results within a large multi-faceted business provides her with the experience and leadership necessary in this important global product business role."
Helmkamp joins Whirlpool Corporation from The ServiceMaster Company in Memphis, Tenn., where she was group president for the company's $2.5 billion branch-based businesses, which includes: Terminix, TruGreen Lawn Care and TruGreen LandCare. Previously, she was president of Terminix International. Before joining ServiceMaster, Helmkamp held a variety of leadership positions within The Boston Consulting Group, including vice president and director of the Chicago office.
Helmkamp holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and management sciences from Northwestern University as well as a master's degree in business administration from the school's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
