RIVEREDGE, N.J. - Excel Termite & Pest Control took part in the Hackensack Riverkeeper's Corporate Cup Challenge charity event held at Lake Tappan, NJ. Held on July 25, the event raised awareness and donations for Hackensack Riverkeeper, a conservation group.
“We’re a part of the community,” said Samuel V. Hagopian III, Director of Business Development at Excel Termite & Pest Control. “We live in Northern NJ, our customers are in Northern NJ, so taking part in this event to raise money and protect the beautiful lakes and rivers of Northern NJ was important to us.”
Excel competed against 5 other local businesses and came in 3rd place, a strong showing for their first year in this friendly event. Proceeds from the relay will go towards the Riverkeeper association.
“Winning the relay wasn’t important,” says Hagopian, “getting out there and enjoying the water and helping raise awareness was.”
